The Quality In Practice Academies

The Quality In Practice Academies help small manufacturers build practical Operational Excellence and Quality capabilities within their existing teams. Programs are designed around the realities of smaller manufacturing companies, where people often carry multiple responsibilities, and improvement efforts must compete with the immediate demands of production and customer delivery.

The Operational Excellence Academy develops the skills and management practices needed to improve performance across the operation. Through practical learning in areas such as structured problem-solving, Lean, daily management, standard work, visual management, Kaizen, and operational decision-making, participants learn to identify problems, improve processes, manage performance, and sustain gains over time.

The Quality Academy strengthens quality capability throughout the organization. Programs address areas such as Cost of Quality, root cause analysis, corrective action, risk-based thinking, supplier quality, customer quality, Voice of the Customer, and Delivered Quality. The academy helps companies broaden quality knowledge across functions, enabling better quality decisions where the work occurs.

Both academies can be delivered through individual courses, targeted learning pathways, or company-specific programs. The goal is to give small manufacturers practical methods, shared language, and stronger internal capability that can be applied directly to their operations.

Fractional Chief OpEx Officer


A Fractional Chief Operational Excellence (OpEx) Leader provides senior-level leadership and expertise on a part-time or interim basis, helping organizations improve performance without the cost of a full-time executive. This role fulfills the need for experienced transformation leadership, especially for organizations that require strategic guidance, change leadership, and operational discipline but do not need—or cannot justify—a permanent Chief OpEx Officer.
